  • 2027 Youth Camporee launched

The Camporee promises to be a landmark event that will not only commemorate a century of God’s faithfulness but also inspire a new generation to remain grounded in the Bible and focused on the mission.

The Uganda Union Mission on Sunday, June 14, 2026, officially launched the upcoming Centennial Youth Camporee, which will mark a historic milestone in the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s youth ministry in Uganda.

The launch brought together church leaders, youth directors, Pathfinder leaders, and young people from across the Union as plans for what is expected to be one of the largest youth gatherings in the Church’s history were unveiled. The Camporee will celebrate God’s unwavering faithfulness over the years while inspiring a new generation of young people to embrace discipleship, leadership, service, and mission.

Speaking during the launch, Pr. Samuel Mwebaza emphasized the importance of the Camporee as a platform for spiritual growth, fellowship, skill development, and mission engagement. The Assistant to the Union President encouraged local churches, Pathfinder clubs, Adventurer clubs, and youth ministries to begin preparations early and ensure maximum participation.

He further urged clubs to register early to facilitate effective planning and coordination. Early registration, Mwebaza noted, will enable organizers to adequately prepare for accommodation, logistics, programming, and other essential services required for a successful event.

The Centennial Youth Camporee is expected to bring together over 20,000 young people from across Uganda and beyond under the theme: ‘Mission Possible; a Century of Faith’.

As preparations gather momentum, the Uganda Union Mission has called upon church members, leaders, parents, and stakeholders to support the initiative through prayer, mobilization, and active participation.

The Camporee promises to be a landmark event that will not only commemorate a century of God’s faithfulness but also inspire a new generation to remain grounded in the Bible and focused on the mission.
