  • Uganda Union Mission Celebrates Landmark PCM Graduation

Uganda Union Mission achieved a historic milestone in youth and campus ministry with the graduation of 276 participants in the first-ever Public Campus Ministry (PCM) Competence Certification Level 1 program.

The Uganda Union Mission achieved a historic milestone in youth and campus ministry with the graduation of 276 participants in the first-ever Public Campus Ministry (PCM) Competence Certification Level 1 program.

The graduation ceremony, held at Kampala Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, marked a significant moment not only for Uganda but also for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the East Central Africa Division territory. The graduates constitute the first cohort within the Division to complete and be inducted under the newly launched Public Campus Ministry Curriculum.

The certification program was designed to equip students, young professionals, chaplains, and church leaders with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual foundations necessary to effectively engage in evangelism, discipleship, and leadership within public campuses and institutions of higher learning.

Speaking during the event Church leaders commended the graduates for their commitment to personal spiritual growth and mission service. He emphasized the strategic importance of public campuses as centers of influence where young people can share the gospel, mentor fellow students, and contribute positively to society while remaining grounded in biblical values.

The graduation reflects the Uganda Union Mission’s continued commitment to strengthening youth ministry and advancing disciple-making initiatives among young adults. Through the Public Campus Ministry program, participants are equipped to serve as ambassadors for Christ, fostering spiritual communities and nurturing faith among students in public institutions across the country.

As among the first graduates under the new global curriculum, the 276 inductees have set a precedent for future cohorts and have become pioneers in a movement aimed at transforming campuses into mission fields for Christ.

The Uganda Union Mission congratulates all the graduates on this remarkable achievement and looks forward to witnessing the impact of their ministry as they serve in campuses and communities throughout Uganda and beyond.

This milestone serves as a powerful reminder that when young people are equipped, empowered, and committed to God’s mission, they become effective instruments for advancing the gospel and preparing others for Christ’s soon return.
